Course Aim
To give the course's participants fluency and understanding of all aspects of Logistics.
Course Objectives
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
o Explain the purpose of logistics within the organisation
o Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the importance of logistics to the success of an organisation
o Illustrate the interaction and interdependence of each individual logistics function
o Propose ways in which the logistics process could be improved
o Assess the logistics strategy of an organisation
o Describe the transport function and its importance to logistics

Assessment
1. Participants must satisfactorily complete 3 assessments during the course.
2. On successful completion of assessments participants must complete a 3-hour written
examination ( can be done online ).
Duration
4 weeks which will include a class seminar 1 evening per week for the course period.
Accreditation
The course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport in Ireland.
